By enrolling at Vani Sangeet, you enter into an agreement governed by Portuguese law and applicable EU consumer protection regulations.

Enrolment Confirmation: Enrolment is confirmed upon receipt of your registration and payment of the first monthly fee or deposit. A confirmation will be sent within 24 hours.

Trial Session: New students may attend one trial session at a discounted rate before committing to a full term. The trial fee is deducted from the first month's payment upon full enrolment.

Scheduling: Class times are agreed at enrolment. Changes require at least 48 hours notice from either party.

Student Responsibilities: Students are expected to attend regularly and practise between sessions. Preparatory materials will be provided and should be reviewed before each class.

Intellectual Property: All course materials, recordings, and content provided by Vani Sangeet are for personal use only and may not be redistributed or used commercially without written consent.

Fees are charged monthly and are due on the 1st of each calendar month. Quarterly and annual payment options are available at a discounted rate.

Accepted Payments: Bank transfer (SEPA / MB Way), Multibanco, and cash. Invoices are issued electronically in compliance with Portuguese tax law (NIF required for fiscal invoices).

Late Payment: Fees not received within 10 days of the due date may result in a temporary pause of classes until the balance is settled.

Refunds: Monthly fees paid in advance are refundable on a pro-rata basis if written notice of withdrawal is given at least 15 days before the next billing date. Enrolment deposits are non-refundable.

Fee Changes: Vani Sangeet will provide at least 30 days written notice of any changes to fees.

Student Cancellations: Notice of cancellation must be given at least 24 hours before a scheduled session by phone or message. Sessions cancelled with sufficient notice will be rescheduled at no charge.

Late Cancellations & No-Shows: Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice, or missed sessions without prior notice, will be charged as completed lessons with no rescheduling offered.

Teacher Cancellations: In the event a class must be cancelled by Vani Sangeet, students will be notified as early as possible and the session will be rescheduled at a mutually convenient time at no additional cost.

Withdrawal: To withdraw from the school entirely, 15 days written notice is required. Fees already paid beyond the notice period will be refunded on a pro-rata basis.

By registering for a Vani Sangeet online workshop, you agree to the following terms.

• Workshop fees cover the live session and the session recording. Preparatory audio and notes are shared in advance via email.
• Cancellations made more than 7 days before the session will receive a credit toward a future workshop. Cancellations within 7 days are non-refundable.
• Vani Sangeet reserves the right to reschedule or cancel a session due to unforeseen circumstances. Participants will be offered a full refund or transfer to the next available date.
• A stable internet connection and a device with microphone and camera are required to fully participate.
• Recording of live sessions by participants is not permitted without prior written consent from Vani Sangeet.
• All workshop content is for personal, non-commercial use only.

The safety and wellbeing of all child students is of the highest priority at Vani Sangeet.

• All teachers working with minors hold a valid criminal record certificate (Registo Criminal) with no entries relating to offences against children.
• One-to-one online sessions with minors are conducted with the student's camera on. Parents and guardians are welcome to be present during sessions at any time.
• Photography or recording of minor students requires written consent from a parent or legal guardian.
• Any concerns relating to the welfare of a child student are reported promptly to the relevant Portuguese authorities (CPCJ — Comissão de Proteção de Crianças e Jovens).
• Vani Sangeet operates a zero-tolerance policy toward any form of abuse, harassment, or inappropriate conduct involving minors.

Vani Sangeet is committed to protecting your personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Portuguese data protection law (Lei n.º 58/2019).

Data Collected: Name, email, phone number, and age — collected solely to provide our educational services and manage enrolments.

How We Use It: To confirm bookings, communicate about classes, issue invoices, and send occasional school updates. We never sell or share your data with third parties for commercial purposes.

Data Retention: Personal data is retained for the duration of enrolment plus 5 years for accounting compliance, after which it is securely deleted.

Your Rights: Under GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your data at any time by contacting info@vanisangeet.shop. You may also lodge a complaint with the Portuguese data protection authority, the CNPD (cnpd.pt).

Cookies: This website uses only essential functional cookies. No advertising or third-party tracking cookies are used.

Vani Sangeet is a respectful and inclusive space for all students regardless of age, background, nationality, or experience level.

• Mutual respect between all students, teachers, and staff is expected at all times.
• Mobile phones and devices should be silenced during classes unless used for accompaniment or following along with materials.
• Recording of classes is permitted only with the explicit prior consent of the teacher.
• Any form of harassment, discrimination, or disruptive conduct may result in suspension or permanent removal from the programme without refund.
• Students are encouraged to ask questions, make mistakes, and explore their voice freely — Vani Sangeet is a safe and nurturing space.

We take all complaints seriously and aim to resolve them promptly and fairly.

How to Complain: Contact us at info@vanisangeet.shop within 30 days of the issue, with a clear description and any relevant details.

Our Response: We acknowledge all complaints within 2 business days and aim to provide a full response within 10 business days.

Escalation: If we cannot resolve a complaint directly, you may contact the Portuguese consumer protection authority, DECO (deco.pt), or the relevant Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) entity as provided under Portuguese law (Lei n.º 144/2015).
